Here is a house

The exhibition Here is a house is a project that brings together the voices of girls and boys from Santa María la Ribera and Milpa Alta, who participated in educational programs in both territories in the summer of 2024. These materials allowed for the construction of narratives about the places they inhabit. Through a book and an exhibition at the UNAM Geology Museum, the project seeks to strengthen territorial identity and the appreciation of linguistic diversity in two boroughs of Mexico City. The texts are by Alejandra Retana and the illustrations by Pepe Retana, both young artists from Milpa Alta. The exhibition promotes the visibility of young female creators and fosters replicable pedagogical models that link the natural, cultural, and linguistic heritage of urban and semi-rural territories. The public program included educational activities specially designed for school groups and residents of Santa María la Ribera.
