Miscelánea en común

Espacio de encuentro entre producción agroecológica y comunidad que promueve el intercambio directo entre personas productoras y consumidoras, facilitando el acceso a productos limpios y seguros, así como la circulación de información en torno a prácticas sustentables y cuidado del territorio.

Se convoca a productores y transformadores primarios alineados con los principios de la agroecología, ubicados en localidades de la cuenca del Valle de México. Además de la comercialización de productos, se desarrollan actividades educativas —talleres, charlas y espacios de diálogo— que fortalecen el intercambio de saberes y el vínculo entre territorios y comunidades.

Let's take care of our skin with natural products: Workshop on making an herbal body soap

In this workshop, guided by Alexa, residents learned what phytocosmetics is, its principles, processes, and benefits in our lives. The processes for making body soaps and the properties of the herbal essences that nourish the soaps were also explained. They applied this knowledge by making their own herbal body soap, which they were able to take home.

Let's take care of our skin with natural products: Workshop on making a nourishing body cream

In this workshop, guided by Alexa, the residents learned about the basic care our skin needs, as well as its importance in our daily lives and how we can care for it using natural products. It was also explained how some cosmetic products are made, and they put this knowledge into practice by making their own nourishing body cream using products of agroecological origin, which they were able to take home to use in their skin care routine.

Common Miscellany: Azul Verde

In March, we welcomed Azul Verde to the Common Miscellany, a productive family project located in Xochimilco and Azcapotzalco. They brought phytocosmetic products to our community: personal hygiene items, body and hair care products, makeup, and biodegradable products for home cleaning.

Living cuisine from the chinampa: Workshop on making pineapple tamales with edible flowers

In this workshop, guided by Xokoyotzín, the residents learned the procedures for making tamales, as well as the use and identification of edible flowers, in this case, flowers endemic to Xochimilco and cultivated in Chinampa Amanalli. The residents made their own tamales and decorated them to their liking with various edible flowers, which they could take home to enjoy.

Live chinampa cuisine: Workshop on making seasonings and salts to flavor food

In this workshop, guided by Laura, the residents learned the basic and combinatorial properties of salt and some basic herbs and spices they use to season their food. Through experimentation and tasting, they prepared their own seasonings, which they were able to take home to enjoy in their kitchens.

Common Miscellany: Chinampa Amanalli / Sowing Environmental Culture (SECUAM)

During the last week of February and the first week of March, we welcomed Chinampa Amanalli / SECUAM to the Common Miscellany, a Civil Association that has operated since 2012 in the territories of Colima and Xochimilco, formed by women, who carry out environmental education activities and conservation of flora and fauna species. They brought agroecological products, harvested and processed in their chinampa, to our community.

Common Miscellany: Oyameyo Cooperative

We welcomed the Oyameyo Cooperative, a project that produces everyday products based on the principles of herbalism and promotes its health benefits. They make tinctures, ointments, syrups, herbal pillows, and aromatherapy oils.

Miscellaneous in common: Agroecological Ranch El Arco

In June, we welcomed Rancho Agroecológico El Arco, who brought various animal products from Tlalpan: dairy, rabbit meat, beef, and derivatives. They also brought products from their garden: fruits and jams, herbs and seasonings. All of these are raised, cultivated, and processed with an agroecological approach.

Miscellaneous in common: Azul Verde

In July, we welcomed Azul Verde, a family project composed of Clara, Alexa, and Larissa, whose objective is to offer artisanal and organic alternatives in cosmetic products for body and home care and cleaning. Located in Xochimilco, they work in collaboration with chinampero producers, guaranteeing the quality and origin of the inputs they use, helping to activate the local economy.

Common Miscellany: Granja La Bolchevitta

In August, we welcomed the farm La Bolchevitta, a family project led by Cipactli Suárez, located in the town of Santa Rosa Xochiac, Cuajimalpa. They brought various types of artisan goat cheese, turkey eggs, fruits, and jams from their farm.
