Summary
This second edition of We Make Our River came from a collective process that increases and reinterprets the experiences lived in the first edition. It documents the workshops held in various locations, such as Chacaltianguis, Tlacojalpan and Tlacotalpan, state of Veracruz, where artists, mediators, teachers and riverbank communities explored the question: What is a river?
By means of activities such as reading mediation through photobooks, solarigraphy and photographic interventions, the participants created poetry, portraits and collages that capture riverside life and imagery. These workshops, based on the first edition, were the launching point to shape this new delivery.
We Make Our River From dawn to dusk, from earth to sky links voices, memories and fantasies that celebrate union with the river. The book includes poems by Adolfo Córdova, photo essays by Enero y Abril and Dolores Medel, as well as illustrations by Cuauhtémoc Wetzka and a visual chronology that invites us to imagine new ways of inhabiting this natural and cultural space.
The purpose of this second edition is to inspire and connect, demonstrating how collective experiences can become a bridge between communities and their relationship with rivers. Iy is an invitation to browse it's pages and rediscover the channels of creativity and imagination.
